Van Note-Harvey Associates traces its origin back to Charles Sincerbeaux, an engineer and land surveyor who opened his practice in Princeton in 1894. Since then, the firm has been in continuous operation and has expanded in size, scope and geographical service through several evolutionary transitions. In 1960, Van Note-Harvey Associates was incorporated.
The Company
Today, VNHA is a full-service consulting, engineering, environmental, and land surveying organization headquartered in Princeton with services reaching out to public and private clients from offices in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. Our experienced staff of professional and support personnel have diverse educational and project backgrounds, which enable us to provide a complete range of services.
VNHA announced the opening of its North Carolina affiliate, VNH - Rippetoe Associates, P.C. in early 2009 to offer engineering and environmental services throughout central and eastern North Carolina.
Services
Our entire range of services has benefited clients from Fortune 500 corporations to neighborhood businesses and at all levels of federal, state and local government throughout New Jersey and the Mid-Atlantic States. We have collaborated with design teams for numerous private, institutional, and municipal development projects as the prime consultant, as well as under subcontract to major building architects and land developers.
Our projects have ranged from minor expansions or modifications/improvements of existing facility site activities, to totally new residential subdivisions, corporate and academic campuses and facility site designs. VNHA’s expertise spans every aspect of feasibility planning, design, permitting, and construction of site design, stormwater, site utilities, roads/parking, and land developers.
VNHA has served clients as professional consultants on subdivision/site/project investigations, environmental protection studies, conceptual designs, permitting for regulatory agencies at every level, detailed plans and specifications, construction bidding assistance, construction inspection, and project administration, as well as provided turnkey management services for underground storage tank closures and soils/groundwater cleanup projects.
The consistently successful (on-time, on-budget) completion of diverse projects by a highly-qualified, professional staff relates to over 80 percent of our work being repeat services to existing and previous clients. We are necessarily involved with, and continually reviewing, the application of constantly changing regulations. This experience, gained from our solid history of project design and regulatory compliance, is coupled with the latest technology and paramount engineering and environmental techniques to guide our clients in addressing their specific issues and fostering exemplary projects.
