Landfill Redevelopment

Van Note-Harvey Associates (VNHA) was selected by the owner of a rural property in Cranbury, New Jersey to investigate and manage the remediation of approximately 2,500 cubic yards of buried waste material discovered on the property. The waste material was disclosed to the property owner as part of a prospective purchaser’s due diligence investigation to develop the property for warehouse/distribution. Based on investigations conducted by the prospective purchaser and VNHA, VNHA developed a remediation approach and managed the remediation to successfully deliver the property to the prospective purchaser at the agreed upon closing, for a cost substantially less than estimated by the prospective purchaser. Remediation of the site involved disturbance and restoration of freshwater wetland buffers. The property received a NFA letter from the NJDEP and was subsequently developed for a major warehouse/distribution facility.
