Planning and design services for this 900 acre planned community included the entire sewage collection system, a 500,000 GPD Wastewater Treatment Plant and a subsequent 1 MGD plant expansion fed by a 30-inch trunk sewer. The plant incorporates influent flow equalization, sludge dewatering and chemical addition for increased phosphorus removal and effluent dechlorination. A seasonal discharge irrigation system was designed as an integral part of an 18-hole golf course. The spray irrigation system includes a booster pumping station and integrated control system providing fully automatic application of effluent over the entire golf course.
Van Note-Harvey has provided plant operation and consulting services for over 30 years to the plant’s owners with regard to capital improvements including pump replacement, odor control, ventilation and disinfection.
